1,600 new homes for Salford
A Salford-based housing association has bought 78 homes from a fellow social landlord.
City West Housing Trust has purchased 78 properties in the Little Hulton area of Salford from Great Places Housing Group.
Tim Doyle, City West's chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have worked in partnership with Great Places on the purchase of these homes in Little Hulton, which are at the heart of our neighbourhoods.
"We are looking forward to providing the same first class service that we already provide to other homes in the area.
“City West is currently investing millions of pounds in hundreds of much needed new homes across Salford. These are exciting times for City West as we continue to deliver on our promise to be a ‘can do, will do’ organisation.”
Matthew Harrison, Chief Executive of Great Places Housing Group, said: “The sale of these homes makes perfect business sense for both of us and, more importantly, will also benefit residents.”
City West formed in 2008 and manages 14,600 homes in West Salford.
