The remodelled interior of Tyndale House
Sanctuary Group’s retirement living scheme in Hullbridge in Essex is finished, furnished and ready for residents to move in!
Work on the £3 million scheme at Tyndale House has been carried out by Sanctuary Group’s contractors Walker Construction Services Ltd and has included the remodelling of 23 flats and the communal areas within the building. The development project, which was completed in under a year, also included the replacement of bathrooms and kitchens in Sanctuary Group’s rented properties at Tyndale Close and The Walk nearby.
Many of the tenants who moved out of Tyndale House while the remodelling work was undertaken will shortly be moving back into their new homes, and will be able to enjoy their newly refurbished flats and the high quality finish throughout the shared lounge, soft seating areas and conservatories as well as in the hair salon, library and assisted bathroom which were also included as part of the project.
Sarah Brind, Sanctuary Group’s development manager – east, said: “This remodelling work has completely transformed Tyndale House and both new residents and those returning to their former home will benefit from the highest quality retirement living accommodation. We are planning to hold an official opening ceremony later in the year and wish residents happiness in their new homes in the meantime.”
Mark Walker, Construction Director at Walker Construction, added: “We would like to thank Sanctuary Group for providing us with the opportunity o undertake the refurbishment project at Tyndale House which has been a pleasure to work on. We share an excellent working relationship with both Sanctuary Group and ATP Architects & Surveyors which has helped bring this contract to a close in a tight timescale and to a high standard. We are delighted to handover the renovated Tyndale House to both Sanctuary Group and the residents, who we wish the very best and a pleasant future in their new homes.”
Sanctuary Group always strives to offer more to the communities it works in and as well as remodelling Tyndale House, once the weather improves, it will also be working in partnership with Walker Construction on a project to improve some nearby allotments used by a local gardening club.
Rochford Housing Association, who manage Tyndale House, will be coordinating residents moving back into their new flats now that the remodelling work is complete. An official opening ceremony will also take place in the summer once residents have settled into their new homes.
