SitexOrbis invests in South West region

Vacant property expert SitexOrbis has further invested in its regional approach by formally recognising the South West as a stand-alone region, formed of the existing Bristol and Cardiff depots.
The move will see the creation of a new administrator post in Cardiff. In the medium term, the Bristol team will move from its existing depot to a larger depot and office to better facilitate the operational positioning of the business.
Following the January 2013 acquisition by a consortium of experienced, patient and well-funded private individuals, the business was restructured to refocus on its regional businesses with close local relationships to customers. The formal creation of the South West region is a further indication of that strategy.
Work on social housing properties accounts for 70 per cent of the business in the South West region while commercial property work accounts for around 30 per cent. Pest control makes up a sizeable portion of the work in Bristol, which has the biggest rat problem in the UK outside of London.
John Sobey, Branch Manager (South West), who will oversee the running of the region, said: “I’m delighted that SitexOrbis is recognising the South West as a standalone region. This is the latest step in an approach to focus on local relationships and bring the business ever closer to our customers.”
SitexOrbis provides a complete vacant property service for commercial property and social housing. From securing the property with the right type of barrier screens and cleaning and clearing it of debris, to monitoring it with battery-powered video alarms; its role is to facilitate everything necessary to get the vacant property occupied again. All services are backed up by Aura, SitexOrbis’s real-time web-based workflow system; enabling customers to instruct, control and track the progress of jobs undertaken by their contractors. SitexOrbis’s in-house Alarm Response Centre monitors all alarms and supports lone worker and out-of-hours services, ensuring SitexOrbis keeps control of all security delivery and risks nothing in its outsourcing.
In the UK the vacant property security company protects more than 50,000 properties as well as 10,000 lone workers, cleans 20,000 properties annually and provides infection control, long-term mould eradication and access control. The company generates a combined turnover of in excess of £30 million and employs more than 500 people.
