A Crewe-based housing organisation has achieved the prestigious Gold level at their first Investors in People assessment, acknowledging achievement of world-class best practice and representing a cutting-edge organisation operating at the very highest levels of people management practice.
Now part of the exclusive 7% of Investors in People in the country that have achieved Gold accreditation, Wulvern is also one of only a handful of organisations that have achieved the Gold award at their first assessment.
The golden accolade recognises the organisation for going above and beyond in the way it develops, supports and motivates its 240 employees.
The accreditation process involved individual interviews with a number of Wulvern colleagues during December. The assessor also observed and collected other information to help build the overall assessment and benchmarked Wulvern against other top organisations.
Celebrating the company’s achievement with employees, Sue Lock, Wulvern’s Chief Executive said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded the Gold IiP standard. This prestigious accolade demonstrates Wulvern’s excellence in investing in staff, developing people and creating a positive, supportive culture in which to work. These attributes are a key tool in recruiting and retaining the very best of staff, make us a great organisation to work with and help us to deliver brilliant social housing.”
Chris Jones, Head of Operations at Investors in People North of England said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Wulvern and I would like to congratulate the team on their commitment to people development and continuous improvement. We believe that good people make a great business and as a proven organisational development framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, enhance performance and meet goals. By achieving Gold accreditation and especially at their first assessment, Wulvern is certainly working to do this.”
