A new free app has been released that offers users an easy way to navigate London's planning scene.
Developed by Remarkable Engagement, 'Passport to London' provides useful information for developers and planners in the capital.
For each of London's 33 boroughs, the app lists contact details, the names of decision-makers, meeting venues, social media info – and even the best places nearby to get a bite to eat, park the car or catch a train.
It constantly updates the balance of each authority’s membership so that every application can be prepared and submitted with awareness of the political landscape.
And touchscreen tools include a map to identify instantly which borough a site lies within. There is also scope to advance the app later with postcode searches, GPS capability and a national reach.
Stephen Pomeroy, CEO of the Remarkable Group, said: “The capital’s planning scene is uniquely complex and demanding, which is why this time-saving app created by our team of Londoners specifically for developments in London is so useful.
“Essentially, our app seeks to remove some of the stress and delay of dealing with London’s planning authorities and to give you a chance to breathe. We’ve sweated the small stuff so users don’t have to.”
Perry Miller, associate director of Remarkable’s London Engagement team, added: “Our years of experience means we know the vital information you need to get your planning application rolling and nurture support, plus the useful tips that make life a bit easier too – like where to get a decent coffee.”
Passport to London is available free on iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows systems.
