Two Rivers secures gold

Two Rivers Housing is celebrating again after confirming its place among the top 3% of UK organisations.
Independent assessors visited the Forest-based not-for-profit housing association last week and endorsed its accreditation as an Investors in People ‘Gold’ organisation.
This standard is only given to those organisations which can demonstrate excellence in developing and supporting their staff, and Two Rivers is delighted to retain this official recognition, three years after it was secured for the very first time.
The news also comes just weeks after Two Rivers marched its way to number 82 in the list of Top 100 Best Companies to work for in the UK and only a few months after it earned an award for supporting training and apprenticeships
“It is important for us to make Two Rivers a great place to work because, if our staff are fulfilled and happy in their jobs, they will deliver a better service for our customers,” explained Jon Coe, Director of Customer Services. “We were delighted to secure this accreditation in 2011, and it is reassuring to be able to hold onto it three years later when our practices come under scrutiny again.
“Investors in People, plus our Top 100 ranking, add up to a great endorsement of the effort everyone at Two Rivers puts in to make it a positive and encouraging place to work, which must be good news for our tenants.”
Investors in People is the UK’s leading people management standard, aiming to help organisations improve by developing their staff and giving them the skills to do the best they can.
Achievements are reviewed by qualified external assessors through a combination of documentary evidence and interviews with staff. This took place at Two Rivers last week, after which it was confirmed the organisation had secured the necessary 165 requirements to achieve the top level of accreditation – ‘Gold’.
