CGA tenants celebrate TPAS awards nominations

Sue Lyons - Nominated for Tenant of the Year
Community Gateway Association tenants and members are celebrating after receiving the fabulous news that the organisation has been shortlisted in four categories at the Tenant Participation Advisory Service Awards (Northern) region final.
As the UK’s first social housing provider to follow the principles of the Community Gateway model, the organisation places tenants at the heart of everything it does and this is reflected in the nominations put forward for this year’s awards.
Tenants who go the extra mile, landlords and tenants working together and great ideas that show what can be achieved when people are truly involved is recognised and celebrated at the TPAS Awards.
The categories that CGA are shortlisted in are:-
- Excellence in Tenant-Led Scrutiny
- Tenant of the Year - Sue Lyons - Tenant Board Member
- Young Tenant of the Year - Natasha Cowperthwaite
- Excellence in Annual Reports Award
Upon hearing that she had been shortlisted Sue Lyons , CGA tenant Board member commented on her Twitter account, “I’m sitting with friends and just received a tweet to say I have been shortlisted for a TPAS award.” “I am shocked and lost for words; I bet you never thought that would happen!, I am very proud and humbled”
The awards ceremony takes place in Manchester on 11 April at the Palace Hotel in Manchester.
