SBHG celebrate St Mungo's Woolly Hat Day
Staff from Shepherds Bush Housing Group (SBHG) donned their warmest head gear to raise £200 for homeless charity St Mungo’s.
The annual fundraising event, Woolly Hat Day, encourages people to wear hats in exchange for a donation. Money raised is used to help support people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
SBHG chief executive, Paul Doe, who is also chair of St Mungo’s board said: “It has been a real privilege to raise funds, knowing we are helping to rebuild lives of so many homeless and vulnerable people in the capital.
“We’re committed to giving back and look forward to continue supporting the charity in the future.”
As well as keeping warm in their woollens, staff also baked and sold cakes. Enough money was raised to support a St Mungo’s outreach team to bring in rough sleepers off the streets.
