Jackie Shepherd, Friendship Care and Housing’s (Friendship’s) Customer Service Manager, presented Laura Weddell, RSL Community Safety Coordinator, from Birmingham City Housing Partnership with lots of goodies for Birmingham’s ‘First Night Campaign’. (pictured)

Every year women and children flee their home because of domestic abuse and violence.  Women who arrive at a refuge will often question their decision and will have left home quickly having no time to pack.

Jackie said “We can always rely on our staff to dig deep when it comes to people in need.   We hope our contribution goes some way to help these women and children’s first night in a city refuge a little easier to bear. I’d also like to say thanks to our contractors Laker who helped out by donating toiletries and a range of children’s books.”
