Gedling Homes are launching their training offer to tenants this week.
The GREATer Training programme, of over 20 different courses, is built on the successful tenant training programme already offered through Gedling Homes, aiming to support tenants in their personal development.
GREATer Training links into the wider GREATer Together Tenant Involvement offer, launched by Gedling Homes in 2013.
Gedling Homes are offering a range of training courses, from IT skills to watercolour, confidence boosting to managing your money, alongside routes back into employment and volunteering. The courses are provided across five key areas:
- Gaining skills
- Realising your potential
- Achieving wellbeing
- Tenant involvement
Some courses lead to recognised national qualifications, which can be included on CVs, whilst others are simply for relaxation, enjoyment and making new friends.
Courses are free to attend and are open to all Gedling Homes’ tenants and members of their households.
Customer Experience Manager, Steve Ward said “The new training programme is an exciting offer of training to tenants. We have always had a good record in training tenants and recognise the need to offer training in a range of different areas, to help tenants with all aspects of their tenancies and wellbeing. The GREATer Training initiative widens this offer to tenants”
