Railway Housing Association has added another experienced professional to its Board of Trustees.
David Goodman has joined the 1,400-home association and will bring a wealth of experience gained in management and finance.
Before he retired, the qualified Chartered Accountant worked for the Audit Commission including a stint as the organisation’s Regional Director for the North.
David, a married father-of-two who lives in Sheffield, has served on a number of housing association boards, most recently on the board of Johnnie Johnson Housing Association.
He said: “I have always had an interest in social housing and what the sector is trying to achieve in helping to find homes for people in housing need.
“Railway Housing Association appealed to me because despite being one of the oldest providers of social housing in the UK, it is a very dynamic forward-thinking organisation that is committed to the provision of high quality affordable housing.
“I am really looking forward to being on the Board and being able to contribute to the continued success of the Association.”
Anne Rowlands, Chief Executive of Railway Housing Association, said: “With the addition of David, we have consolidated our already strong Board of Trustees and we are delighted to have been able to attract someone of his experience.”
