Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Safety, Ann O'Byrne, recently took time out of her busy schedule to visit One Vision Housing’s first development in the City of Liverpool; Belmont Grove in Anfield.
The award winning housing association already has over 11,000 properties across the borough of Sefton, and the new development in Anfield will provide 97 affordable, quality, family homes in the City of Liverpool.
With the Councillor’s responsibilities including the delivery of 5,000 new homes and the refurbishment of 1,000 new homes, as part of Liverpool’s regeneration, Ann was extremely interested to find out more about the development.
Councillor O’Byrne said: “I’m extremely impressed with these new homes from One Vision, and the feedback from the new tenants who we’ve visited today has been great.
“These are lovely, affordable family homes in an area which is undergoing tremendous regeneration and as a result there is a huge amount of demand for homes of this quality.”
One Vision Housing’s Group Executive Director for Customers and Neighbourhoods, Ian Fazakerley, said: “This new development has been extremely popular, with all of the 50 completed properties occupied already. We expect that the remaining 47 properties will be completed within the next 10 months.
The 97 properties owned by One Vision Housing include 36 two bedroom apartments, 38 three bedroom homes, and 21 four bedroom homes. They have been let both privately and as social housing, with weekly rents between just £83 and £150.
All the properties on the development have been built by Miller Homes, who have themselves built and sold 37 properties at the Belmont Grove site.
