Dame Clare Tickell takes up post as CEO of Hanover

Dame Clare Tickell DBE has taken up her new post as Chief Executive of Hanover Housing Association.
She succeeds Bruce Moore, who left Hanover in September 2013; in the intervening period Rona Nicholson, Operations Director for Hanover, has been Acting Chief Executive.
Clare commented: ‘I am delighted to be joining Hanover, at a time when its area of work - providing quality housing for older people - has never been more important. There is a clear connection between quality of housing and quality of life; and current demographics mean that this will become even more relevant to us all, with more of us living longer and expecting more. Hanover has identified a number of themes that are central to this through the ‘Hanover@50’ debate which it initiated with leading think tanks; I am very keen to build on that work, and am looking forward to developing these ideas further.’
