Father Christmas turns up to thank CGA Colleagues Father Christmas turns up to thank CGA Colleagues

Colleagues from Community Gateway Association (CGA) got into the Christmas spirit early by donating toys and gifts to families across Preston.

Over the past few years, Community Gateway Association has supported a number of local agencies in the run up to the festive season; these have included Preston Domestic Violence Service and the Salvation Army.

This year working with the information provided by CGA’s customer profiling information, the tenancy support team identified a number of families across the city that are finding it hard to cope in the current financial climate.

The team thought it would be nice to give extra support by providing a bit of Christmas cheer so put out the call for donations and the gifts have been flooding in.

The team have been like Christmas elves and with the support from the Salvation Army, they have been wrapping and getting parcels ready for Father Christmas to deliver.

Father Christmas even turned up at the CGA offices to say thank you to everyone who donated presents to this worthy cause.

Jackie Bird, Tenancy Support team leader at CGA said “The support from everyone has been amazing; from colleagues bringing in presents to giving us money to buy gifts we have been overwhelmed by the response.”

The team will be delivering the parcels between now and Christmas Eve.
