Santa bus delivers an early Christmas present to young AmicusHorizon residents

Published by amicushorizon for AmicusHorizon Group in Housing

Santa and helpers! Santa and helpers!

Youngsters in Rye and Eastbourne were delighted when AmicusHorizon’s Santa bus paid a visit to their local neighbourhoods, delivering presents to more than 120 children.

AmicusHorizon staff dressed as Santa and his helpers to bring Christmas cheer to families on the Kingsmere Estate, Eastbourne and the Tilling Green Estate in Rye. Staff had even decked out their neighbourhood bus to look like Santa’s grotto.

Children were invited on to the bus to tell Santa what they were hoping to get for Christmas and to receive a small gift. Their parents had the opportunity to talk to AmicusHorizon’s Anti Social Behaviour, Finance and Housing staff about any issues they might be facing.

Cathy Harkins, AmicusHorizon’s Anti Social Behaviour Manager, organised the events, she said: "We were amazed at the number of children who came to visit us on the Santa bus. It was a great way for us to engage with the local communities in Rye and Eastbourne and to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to everyone. A huge thanks to all involved, in particular to Poundland, Bexhill for donating 50 presents."

AmicusHorizon’s Anti Social Behaviour, Community Development and Resident Involvement Teams regularly work in the local community. For information on their forthcoming events and training courses please call 0800 121 60 60 or visit their website: or Facebook page.
