Halton Housing Trust’s employee Jayne fulfils her dream of starting photography business.
Jayne Grayson, age, a full time purchase ledger officer within the Construction Services department at the Trust has started her own business as a photographer.
Along with her father, Jayne set up her photography business, called Smileability just over 12 months ago.
After attending two photography courses, Jayne quickly realised that this was more than just a hobby, so armed with enough information to set up as a business, and an equally passionate business partner, Smileability was born.
Jayne works full time at the Trust as well having twin girls Amy and Ellie ages four. Jayne explains how she fits it all in: “I work the two jobs alongside each other, therefore having to manage the photography business in the evenings; we carry out any photoshoots at the weekends. I also make time to maintain our website to ensure customer’s private viewing gallery is secured and protected.
“We don’t actually specialise in any one area of photography. We have started off doing portraits in the home and on a monthly basis we hire a hall in the local areas , set up equipment and lights and take appointments throughout the day. Although the business is fairly new we are already booked up over the forthcoming weeks leading up to Christmas!
“I love every part of the business but the best bits are taking the photographs and seeing the end results, as it’s so rewarding knowing that my work is hanging up in people’s homes.”
