ProVal Update - the new HCA rent guidelines

The HCA have issued their rent guidelines for Private Registered Providers for 2014/15.
We'd like to advise our ProVal customers that you will receive your system update before Christmas (please let us know if you'd like it wrapped and placed under the tree!).
This confirms the RPI for rent increases as 3.2%.
The 2014-15 round of rent increases will take place under the current arrangements of a guideline limit of RPI+ 0.5% with up to an additional +£2 per week to facilitate convergence to target rents, where appropriate. The maximum annual rent increase for Affordable Rent is similarly based upon the September RPI+0.5%, i.e. 3.7%
Target Rent caps will increase at RPI + 1%.
Note that from 1 April 2015 rents will be inflated on a different basis, expected to be CPI + 1% and consultations on this are currently underway.
