A social landlord's officers have closed down a cannabis factory operating in one of its flats.
Working with the police, Ascham Homes took action after receiving complaints from neighbours about lights at the property in Walthamstow being left on for periods of several days.
Officers from the safer neighbourhood tasking unit forced entry into the flat and found large-scale production of the Class B drug.
Large quantities of the drug were also confiscated during the raid.
Ian Cartmell, Ascham Homes’ neighbourhood services manager, said: "This investigation and our action demonstrate our commitment to tackling crime and antisocial behavior in the borough, achieved through effective fast-time partnership working between Ascham Homes and the local police.”
