The Fire Industry Association has published a new white paper, ‘Third Party Certification: What does it mean for customers?’
It aims to explain to facilities managers why they should use Third Party Certificated companies for all their fire protection system management.
The FIA, a not-for-profit trade association promoting professional standards in the UK fire safety industry, says ensuring the use of competent suppliers is both a legal requirement and a practical necessity. It believes TPC is the most effective way to making sure fire protection suppliers are competent.
The white paper is divided into four main sections, including how the certification process is carried out and which schemes are relevant to the service being commissioned, installed or maintained.
