South Northants Homes (SNH) has taken over the management of three new retirement schemes in the area, bringing day to day support for residents much closer to home.
The social landlord has taken over the management of three schemes, Leeson Court in Towcester, Candleford in Brackley and The Doubles in Daventry from Bedford based landlord bpha.
Nearly 100 residents and six staff have also transferred to SNH. Leeson Court and Candleford Court are both ‘extra care’ schemes which provide a higher level of support for older customers.
Gillian Higginson, SNH Assistant Director – Housing Services, said: “We are really happy to be able to offer these customers a chance to benefit from having all our support and maintenance services on their doorstep and are looking forward to new staff joining the team.”
“We have consulted widely with them about the transfer of management to us and feel convinced we will be able to offer them a first class service.”
SNH’s Retirement Homes Services has been rated grade A in an independent report and has been widely praised for improving the lives of its customers through its extensive programme of support and social activities.
Staff run a wide programme of events for residents including computer courses, exercise classes, social events and money advice.
