A group of employees from national housing and regeneration specialist Keepmoat have raised £2,633.50 for charity after taking on a half marathon challenge.
The team, who have been dubbed the ‘energetic eight’ by their colleagues, bravely took part in the Windsor Half Marathon to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Paul Adams, Howard Buckley, Tim O'Sullivan, Michael Buckingham, Kimberley Hughes, Tim Coke, Tim Waters and Martin Gregory from Keepmoat’s Southern region all completed the 13-mile race and far exceeded their original fundraising target of £1,000, thanks to the generosity of their friends, family, Keepmoat colleagues and clients.
Group leader and Operations Manager Paul Adams said: “We are really impressed at the way everyone at Keepmoat has got behind us and can’t believe what a fantastic total we’ve achieved - a massive thank you to everyone who donated.
“It was a tough challenge but we knew it was for a good cause and that kept us going - who knows, there may even be a reunion of the energetic eight at next year’s half marathon!”
Keepmoat has been a big supporter of Macmillan Cancer Support, with the company recently raising £4,190 for the charity after staff from its offices across the country took part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event.
