Riverside is in line for a national business award after being crowned one of the winners in the regional heats of the Chamber Awards 2013.
The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Chamber Awards, now in their 10th anniversary year, is one of the showpiece events in the business calendar, highlighting the role of business as a positive force for the UK recovery, and for local communities.
Riverside has been shortlisted in the Sustainability Award category and will now go forward to represent the North West in the national Chamber Awards finals, which take place in London in November. One national winner will be crowned Business of the Year and will walk away with a £25,000 cash prize.
The news comes hot on the heels of Riverside being shortlisted for two Sustainable Housing Awards, the results of which are announced later this month.
Ronnie Clawson, Director of Corporate Services, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for another award which recognises our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, which sits at the heart of our business and is about transforming lives and revitalising neighbourhoods.
“With the advent of the bedroom tax, the energy efficiency of our homes and the impact energy costs have on our tenants has never been more important. We are committed to providing well maintained homes with low running costs by investing in our homes to help residents tackle rising fuel costs and help eliminate fuel poverty.”
