Ms Hall gets the keys to her new home
Community Gateway Association (CGA) completed its first fully adapted property, which has transformed a former sheltered scheme community centre, changing the lives for the tenants who moved in.
CGA’s Regeneration team working alongside the Adaptations team identified the former community centre as a prime site that could be converted, also identifying potential tenants who had specific requirements that this property could provide.
The property has been converted into a two bedroom flat with associated wet room, a new pitched roof fitted, open plan kitchen, door entry system, a second adapted bathroom with unique sun pipe to provide natural daylight and a car port.
Ms Hannah Hall and her partner were handed the keys to their new home by Sian Spink from CGA’s Neighbourhood team.
Ms Hall commenting on her new home said “I would like to thank CGA for giving me my new home, I am truly blessed. I don’t have to worry about anything anymore. The wet room is amazing and the sizes of the rooms are brilliant.”
Andrew Mason, Regeneration Manager at CGA commenting “Transforming the former Stratford Court community centre into a fully adapted property has been a great project to work on. I would like to thank all our partners who worked with us on this project and I hope Ms Hall will be very happy in her new home.”
