People in Wellingborough are invited to enjoy a host of entertainment at Wellingborough Homes’ ever-popular annual fun day.
Hundreds of merry makers are expected to turn out for the local housing provider’s Fun Day at Tithe Barn on Saturday, September 14.
Taking place from 10am to 4pm, the event offers a wide range of free activities and events for people of all ages.
This year the event will celebrate the history of the borough, featuring a display of photos, documents and artefacts from Wellingborough Museum.
Fun day attractions will include a bouncy castle, a variety of children’s activities, fair-type games, stalls, free food and a range of other entertainment for all ages.
Wellingborough Homes, which owns and manages more than 4,500 homes across the borough, hosts a fun day every year to bring the community together and provide free activities for all to enjoy.
Last year, its fifth fun day attracted a record number of visitors – over 1,000 people – who enjoyed a multi-cultural mix of entertainment at the ‘One World’ themed event, from reggae music to belly dancing.
Elly Simms, Community Manager at Wellingborough Homes, said: “We have got a great line-up of attractions and activities for this year’s Fun Day.
“It is a great day out, after the amazing success of last year’s event, we hope to be joined by even more people this year. There really is something for everyone to enjoy – and we look forward to seeing as many people as possible joining in the fun.”
