A FREE handyperson service has been launched by Homes for Northumberland.
The aim of the Handyperson Service is to assist vulnerable tenants with everyday household jobs they may otherwise be unable to complete, free of charge.
This initiative is available to Homes for Northumberland tenants, specifically those over 60 years old, those with a disability or severe health problems or any single parent families with a disabled child.
Ian Johnson, director of property services at Homes for Northumberland, said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of this project as it is the first time such a service has been offered and delivered by the company.
“We continuously strive to improve the services and care we offer our customers and hope that this service reflects this.
“We expect the Handyperson Service will be of benefit to many tenants; assisting them to improve their home by completing jobs they would not ordinarily be able to do or would have to pay someone else to do on their behalf.”
