Eighty children got on their bikes at two ‘Like your bike’ events organised and funded by Stockport Homes in partnership with Adswood and Bridgehall Neighbourhood Management Board.
Bike Right tested the children with a mountain bike skills loop which included slaloms, a tricky test of bike handling skills and a seesaw.
Greater Manchester Police offered free security bike marking and registration to deter thieves.
The Bridgehall event also had a Bike Doctor who repaired over 25 bikes on the day.
Gill Thompson, Neighbourhood Housing Officer at Stockport Homes said: “We asked the children in the area what they were most interested in, bikes and scooters came out top. They took to the bike assault course like professionals!”
When asked about the event, McKenzie Moore simply said: “It’s TOO fun!”
