Council accused in court of disclosing contract details
Social housing procurement consortium Re:allies has published a contract notice inviting applications to tender for the supply and distribution of internal and external materials across the North of England
Currently valued at £296 million, the framework consists of 55 lots: 11 for the distribution of goods and 44 for the supply of a broad range of materials such as boilers and windows to social housing providers within the Re:allies partnership across the North.
Divided into five categories, the distribution lots will see the holding and delivery of building, roofing, insulation, plumbing and heating materials, as well as electrical goods to social housing landlords.
Of these, the building materials, plumbing and heating materials, and electrical goods lots will be subject to sub-regional tests.
Tenders will be considered from those who are able to deliver to the areas covered off individually by the Re:allies members - Procure Plus and Efficiency North, as well as those who can deliver across the entire Re:allies geographical spread.
Commenting on the framework, Clare Tetlow, senior procurement manager, said: “The framework will be called upon daily by our social housing landlords as they look to fulfil their planned maintenance and construction requirements.
"More and more, they are requiring an increased focus on sustainability and renewable energy solutions, and the framework has been designed to reflect this. We’re particularly interested to receive applications to tender from those who are able to offer sustainable solutions, no matter whether they’re local, regional or national companies.”
