A Bungalow awaits its transformation
South Northants Homes has appointed Anglian Building Products to install external wall insulation to 106 of its non-traditional PRC (Pre-Cast Concrete) homes in South Northamptonshire.
The contract which is valued at £2.1m includes external wall and loft insulation, windows and doors, structural repairs, and associated works. Strengthening works will also be undertaken to the properties which are of Reema hollow panel construction.
The SPS Envirowall system selected includes 90mm enhanced EPS insulation boards which are finished with coloured silicon render. This is complimented by the Anglian PVC-u windows and GRP doors, which feature an anthracite grey woodgrain finish giving a much needed contemporary look to the properties.
The procurement process was managed by housing consultants Michael Dyson Associates who also provide a range of post contract services to the client.
Anglian Sales Director John Fairweather said, “We are delighted to have secured this new ECO funded contract which sees us providing a full range of services.”
South Northants Homes is a not-for-profit housing association formed following the transfer of over 2,900 homes from South Northamptonshire Council and is part of Grand Union Housing Group (GUHG) which also comprises two other subsidiaries: Aragon Housing Association and MacIntyre Housing Association.
