Tenants on a Reading road are celebrating after Sovereign Housing Association took steps to end a spate of anti-social behaviour.
Sovereign were alerted earlier in the year when residents made complaints about problems linked to the condition of communal areas and garages.
The social landlord's Berkshire regional panel decided to help by allocating some of its £30,000 community fund for improvements to College Piece.
Panel chair Rosemary Sanders-Rose said: “By allocating panel funding, together with additional funding from Sovereign’s maintenance budget, we were able to clean up the communal areas, fix repairs, re-tarmac the forecourts and fit new garage doors for residents. Sovereign has also worked closely with the police to help put a stop to future nuisance in the area.”
