A petition against a proposed 500-home development in Surrey has gained the signatures of nearly 2,800 locals.
The development is planned for green belt land and allotments near the Leatherhead bypass.
Mole Valley Council is set to receive £21 million from constructors Barratt Homes if the plans get the green light.
Campaigners against the plans claim that schools and GP surgeries in the area are already maximum capacity, the BBC reported.
