The temporary ice rink proved popular at AmicusHorizon's Sussex family days
An ice rink in the summer attracted over 300 people to AmicusHorizon’s Sussex family days.
The event - called Ice is Nice - was held across two days in Hastings.
The first took place in the Broomgrove neighbourhood on Thursday 8 August. The second was held in Tilekiln, in Wishing Tree Road North, on Friday 9 August.
Along with a temporary ice rink, there was also free candy floss and popcorn for the crowds to enjoy.
Graham Morrow, AmicusHorizon’s Resident Involvement Manager for Sussex, said: “It was fantastic to see families out with their children and enjoying these two days. Ice skating isn’t something you would normally associate with the summer, but we had a great turn out. We’re so grateful to everybody who came along to both events and made them such a success.”
The events also gave AmicusHorizon staff the chance to meet residents and get their feedback on improving the housing association’s services.
