Bathroom contract celebrated
The successful completion of a 12 year bathroom contract has been celebrated by Spectrum Property Care and Selwood Housing Society.
Started in 2001, the contract involved the improvement of 2,625 Selwood bathrooms in Wiltshire by the property maintenance arm of Spectrum Housing Group, Spectrum Property Care. Bathrooms were upgraded and wet rooms and grab handles were fitted where required to allow residents better access.
The works programme supported 15 local jobs at Spectrum's Westbury depot.
Selwood resident Nelson Hillman said: “I’m more than satisfied with the job that’s been done and the contractor was very good to work with - very helpful!”
Paul Bryan, Managing Director of Spectrum Property Care said: "Spectrum delivered high quality bathrooms creating positive legacies for Selwood and their residents. Staff enjoyed working in Selwood's homes to create the improved bathrooms and wet-room conversions and were pleased to see the high levels of satisfaction achieved as a result of their work. Selwood and Spectrum share a vision to improve homes and communities. I am very proud that this contract has helped to fulfil these aims.”
Barry Hughes, Chief Executive of Selwood said: “I am very pleased to mark the end of this significant contract to deliver replacement bathrooms. The contract has seen the provision of good quality, modern bathrooms in nearly all of the areas where Selwood Housing operates. Our tenants have let us know how happy they are with their new bathrooms, as we have received a significant amount of positive feedback comments. I would like to thank the contractor, Spectrum Property Care, and everyone else involved for their hard work and dedication in seeing this through.“
