A housing association's building company has been recognised as one of the best in the UK, having been awarded the HQN Direct Labour Organisation and repairs and maintenance accreditation.
New Charter Housing Trust Group's Building Company and Property Services Team’s work on reactive repairs, gas servicing and maintenance and stock investment work across 15,500 households earned the recognition.
John Ardern, New charter's director of property services, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that our work has received such great recognition. The accreditation shows that the service we provide to our customers is second to none.
“We are passionate about delivering excellent services, and we constantly engage with customers to transform homes and neighbourhoods with a view to always improve.”
Kevin Bentley, accreditation assessor from HQN, said: “The panel was impressed by the consistent high quality service being delivered to customers across all these service areas and by the strong evidence of progressive improvement in the service over the last few years.
“The panel was also impressed by the strategic lead taken by New Charter in planning for future challenges in the development of the service and in setting ambitious targets, driving innovation and the introduction of new technology to improve overall management and quality of the service.”
