Tenants of Guinness Care and Support have been honoured for their community work at the organisation's STAR Customer Awards.
Sheltered scheme resident Jackie Mason was delighted to win Volunteer of the Year in recognition of the huge variety of fundraising events and activities she organises for the other residents.
"I like to enjoy myself and I like to see other people enjoying themselves,” said Jackie, 66, who was presented with a trophy and a cheque for £100. “I’m always trying to think of different ideas and when I see people have a good time it makes it all worthwhile."
Marilyn Keegan, scheme manager at Elizabeth House, Devizes, Wiltshire where Jackie lives, said: “It was very quiet here before Jackie got involved!”
There were four other categories - Fundraiser, Friend of the Environment, Most Involved Customer and Good Neighbour.
Managing director Paul Watson said: “We are delighted to have such an active and caring group of customers and it’s great to be able to recognise just some of them with these awards.”
Guinness Care and Support is a member of The Guinness Partnership which owns and manages nearly 60,000 homes while providing services for over 120,000 customers.
