Framework, a specialist housing association and charity has selected Kypera Housing as its new housing management system and is set to go live in April.

Framework aims to stop homelessness and accommodates adults and young people with no access to a home of their own, and who often have high level complex support needs and move frequently. It manages over 800 bed spaces including flats and quick access hostels. Consequently, Framework has complex housing management requirements with relatively high rental values, rapid turnover and frequent maintenance.

According to Adam Jacobs, Head of Property & Development at Framework, the three key reasons for choosing Kypera Housing were:

  1. The cost-effective licence fee structure for all office staff
  2. It can be constantly updated in real time
  3. It’s the only Housing Management System that is built using Microsoft .NET throughout, so it’s more user friendly

Adam explains: “Kypera will enable us to keep track of our housing provision much more effectively and minimise voids. Every time someone moves out, gas servicing, electrical checks and repairs need to be done. Kypera Housing will allow us to complete these more efficiently, enabling all office staff to access the system, entering items directly, instead of having to email or phone in with requests.”

He continues: “Due to funding cut-backs we are under considerable pressure to increase efficiency. Kypera offers a cost-effective licence fee structure for our staff numbers and gives us the tools to manage our accommodation and support services more efficiently. Things can change very quickly here and we cover quite a wide geographical area, so real-time access to accurate information is very important. We also have the confidence of knowing that access is controlled, which is very helpful from an audit and safety point of view.”

Adam Jacobs concludes: “We have two hostels under construction and are acquiring other properties constantly. We have been assured that Kypera Housing has the flexibility to grow with us, and we can add other systems, such as Kypera Mobile when it becomes cost-effective for us to do so.”
