Trust staff shortlisted for prestigious award

One of Halton Housing Trust’s Customer Involvement Officers is celebrating after being shortlisted for a national award.
Michelle Phillips was delighted to hear that she had made it through to the northern final of the TPAS, (Tenant Participation Advisory Service) Awards in the Excellence in Customer Liaison category. The long running awards celebrate best practice within social housing and recognise staff who go the extra mile and those who provide a first class service to customers.
Michelle said: “I’m so excited to be shortlisted. I love my job and thoroughly enjoy what I do, particularly helping customers to get online and become computer literate. I’m honoured to be shortlisted so fingers crossed that I win!”
TPAS is one of the longest serving tenant organisations in Europe and has over 20 years’ experience of supporting tenants to influence and control how housing services are delivered. The northern final will be held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester in May 3rd. If Michelle is successful, she will go through to the national final later in the year.
One of the Trust’s youngest employees, 19 year old Elly Campbell was also shortlisted for an award this week. The Business Adminstration apprentice made it through to the finals of the Liverpool City Region Apprentice Awards, where she was recognised for her hard work and commitment.
Elly was thrilled to be nominated enjoys working at the Trust, although she’d love to work as an oceanologist, investigating marine life in tropical seas. She said: “I am very grateful to have been nominated and shortlisted! Of course, a big part of my achievement is thanks to Halton Housing Trust for all the help, training and support”.
