Grand Union Housing Group (GUHG) is marking its 5th birthday by celebrating being one of the top 100 companies in the UK to work for.
On 17 March it is five years since the Group was formed when subsidiary South Northants Homes (SNH) took over the 3,000 homes from South Northants Council.
SNH joined existing subsidiaries Aragon and MacIntyre Housing Associations to form the 10,000 homes group.
In its first five years the Group has invested over £100m in improving its housing stock and a further £75m in developing new homes across the Bedfordshire and South Northants area.
Group Chief Executive Alan Humphreys said: “We have achieved so much in terms of development and customer service in the last five years and look forward to delivering further as we move into the next five.
“As a development partner with the Homes and Communities Agency we are making sure we provide more affordable housing and invest in people and their communities for the long term.”
The Group, which was recently voted one of the top 100 not for profit companies in the UK Best Companies, is also celebrating being a finalist for the UK Housing Awards’ Large Development of the Year.
