The former home of US film star Bob Hope has gone on the market for $50m.
The house has been described as looking like a UFO.
Designed by architect John Lautner in 1973, the 23,000-square-foot property was intended to resemble a volcano.
An undulating roof allows daylight or moonlight to shine through, whilst curved openings provide views across the desert and mountains.
The California home comes with a spa, six bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a tennis court and putting greens.
It also has a giant boulder in the lounge.
Hope, who died in 2003, used the house primarily as a second residence.
The original uncompleted house was destroyed by a fire started by a welder's torch during construction.
Hope and his wife Dolores interfered extensively in the second design, with the result that architect Lautner eventually distanced himself from the project.
