Published by Ceri Jackson for Longhurst Group in Housing and also in Communities
Spire Homes has been nationally recognised as a fantastic place to work after earning a place at no.20 in The Sunday Times Top 100 companies to work for (in the not for profit category). The housing provider has excelled in creating a work environment that nurtures staff, and is proving that Spire Homes is not only a leading housing association but also a fantastic employer.
Each year The Sunday Times enlists the help of workplace engagement specialists, Best Companies, to celebrate the best companies throughout the country who, regardless of what they do, place staff satisfaction at their core.
The tough assessment consists of a staff survey and an organisational questionnaire that are designed to measure the organisation’s performance through the eyes of their employees. Staff scored Spire Homes with top marks in 8 key areas including leadership, wellbeing and personal growth.
The high profile endorsement commends companies whose staff feel valued, believe that their work has a positive impact on the community, and enjoy great relationships with their managers and colleagues.
“We’re overjoyed to have been celebrated as one of the top 100 organisations to work for. Our work focuses on providing homes and support in the community but we place equal emphasis on creating a supportive community for our staff too. The best thing about this accolade is that it is based on a survey of our staff and how they feel about working at Spire Homes. I’m really proud of this achievement and the recognition that we’re a great company to work for” shared Managing Director of Spire Homes, Julie Doyle.
