HCA announces new HomeBuy Agents for 2009-2011
The Homes and Communities Agency's (HCA) new chief executive will be making the case for cross-subsidy as the sector looks to housing provision post-2015.
Andy Rose will take up his new role in mid-April.
HCA chair Robert Napier explained that Mr Rose has been brought in from outside the sector specifically to address the housing shortage with a new perspective.
Mr Rose, currently a partner at AgFe, has a commercial and financial background and over 20 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors, with a particular focus on infrastructure finance.
Mr Napier said that the HCA would be working to steer the sector over the next 12 months to see what business model would be most appropriate.
He also said that the HCA remains on target to deliver 170,000 new affordable homes by 2015.
