Halton Housing Trust is supporting the Widnes Vikings for the fourth year running as one of their official club partners for 2013.
As part of the deal, the Trust will continue to sponsor the Viking’s Summer Camp, attended by over 120 school children last August, and help fund the popular Try Rugby sessions and Kevin Brown camp, designed to get young people into the sport.
The renewed sponsorship will see the Trust and the club working closely together on a range of activities, including big screen promotion at match days. The Trust will also receive tickets for every home game and these will be given to customers and staff as rewards.
Noel Sharpe, Executive Director of Customer Services at the Trust, said: “We’ve worked with the Vikings for a long time now and we share the same values. The Vikings do fantastic work within the local community, and like us they want to make a difference and improve people’s lives. We are very excited about the year ahead.”
The Trust has a history of working in partnership with the Vikings. Examples of collaboration include a project in 2010 to modernise the changing rooms at the stadium, which saw the Trust’s in-house Construction Services team utilising their trades expertise to complete a welcomed upgrade to facilities. More recently, the Trust hosted its annual employee conference at the stadium, where staff sampled touch rugby.
