Rocking up to work in red!

Staff raised a whopping £253 at Friendship Care and Housing (Friendship) when they took part in the British Heart Foundation’s ‘National Wear Red Day’ on Friday 1st February.
‘Rocking up in red’ to work, selling cupcakes, patties and spring roll and holding different sweep stakes, raised £152.23 at their Birmingham office, the Beechdale office in Walsall raised £53.26 and the Derby office raised £47.50.
Rachel Norton, Neighbourhood Assistant won the prize for guessing who would ‘rock up in red’ first! “This is a great way for us to have a bit of fun at work, whilst raising money for such a great cause.” said Rachel.
Friendship’s dedicated support service for older people in Mary Street, Birmingham also took part in the fund raising.
The British Heart Foundation plays a leading role in the fight against disease of the heart and circulation, so that it is no longer a major cause of disability and premature death. http://www.bhf.org.uk/
