A social landlord has appointed two new directors to its strategic executive team.
AmicusHorizon has announced the arrival of Jane Porter as Executive Director, Operations, and Mark Miles-Lea as Executive Director, Commercial.
Both Jane and Mark held the roles on an interim basis for four months prior to being confirmed in the positions.
The jobs were advertised externally, drawing massive interest from both inside and outside the sector.
Jane and Mark will join existing directors Fiona Deal and Sarah Smith, and CEO Paul Hackett on the team.
Paul Hackett said: “I’m delighted to welcome Jane and Mark onto the Strategic Executive Team. They both bring a wealth of experience with them and their understanding of AmicusHorizon will allow us to hit the ground running.
“We conducted an extremely rigorous selection process and had a very strong field of candidates. It’s testament to the way we develop our staff that the best people for the jobs were Jane and Mark – the two internal candidates.
“We’ve set ourselves an ambitious strategic goal to be the best landlord in the UK by March 2016. I am confident that we now have a team of highly skilled staff to deliver on that commitment.”
Jane Porter (pictured) said: “I’m delighted to be appointed Executive Director - Operations. Our residents are facing challenging times ahead. Making sure we provide support and advice to everyone who needs it is a key priority for me. It’s great to be working for an organisation who values its residents - they’re at the heart of everything we do.”
Mark Miles-Lea said: “I’m very excited to be part of an excellent team who are passionate about delivering the best for the board and residents. I’m looking forward to helping AmicusHorizon become bigger and better.”
