Providing homes in the heart of the community

Spire Homes will be providing 41 new affordable homes in Rushden as part of their Nippendale development, which are due for completion in July 2013.
There will be 4 bungalows which are specifically for the elderly, and 4 accessible homes which will provide accommodation for people living with a disability. These accessible homes will have a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor as well as on the upper floor to allow a person living with a disability to sleep downstairs.
“We are really excited about the completion of this development, as it will provide new affordable homes to local people right in the heart of the community in Rushden. With a variety of homes including two, three and four bed houses, bungalows and mews available for shared ownership, social rent and outright sale – these homes will appeal to all.” said Katy Sagoe, Director of Housing Services.
Spire Homes decided to make better use of the site by developing these homes, which all have rear gardens and car parking, and level thresholds allowing disability access. There is also some parking available for use by the wider community.
