Housing provider Riverside is pleased to announce additional Caretaker service for two estates in West Bromwich.
Riverside has doubled its Caretaker service for the Harvills Hawthorn and Millfields estates to provide additional service to tenants and residents, including services over the weekend.
The additional Caretaker has allowed Riverside to stream line the use of their other contractors to areas they specialise in; increase the duties of the Caretakers and also providing a daily Riverside presence on the two estates.
Riverside Assistant Director of PFIs and Contractors, Paul Jones said: “We have looked at the work our contractors do and what our Caretakers can take on as part of their duties. By increasing the Caretakers we can provide a cost efficient service both with our contractors and the caretaker service. The extra service we provide will continue to offer value for money to all residents and tenants homes we manage.”
Following on from last year’s tenant survey Riverside has also purchased additional equipment for the Caretakers including a portable vacuum poop scooper to combat dog fouling around the estates.
Councillor Simon Hackett, Sandwell Council's cabinet member for housing, said: "I am pleased that Riverside has listened to the views of local tenants and are continuing to develop and improve local services."
