The winner of the'tenant involvement moment 2012' competition
To celebrate the relaunch of our RoundUp members magazine we asked tenants and landlords across the country to show us their ‘Tenant Involvement Moment’ with a photograph and a 15 word caption.
And the winner of the TPAS Tenant Involvement moment of 2012 is West North West Homes – Leeds’.
Michelle Reid said “Our decision has not been easy because of the diversity and phenomenal quality of entries. We received over 70 entries from housing associations, tenants, committees and proud individuals, so there were many great moments to choose from. We think the winning image of the young wardens taking part with the ‘Community Involvement Week’ sums up not only good tenant involvement, but offers hope for the future of co-regulation”.
Claire Warren – Chief Executive of West North West homes Leeds said “Tenant Involvement is at the heart of our decision making and planning processes, because strong relationships with our communities gives tenants the tools to make a real difference to their homes and the places they live".
"I am delighted to see our Junior Warden programme growing and the enthusiasm shown by our young residents during estate gradings. The programme is helping us to show our future tenants the physical affects anti-social behaviour can have on their estates and show them how to report issues and suggest environmental improvements to us. We have a passion for promoting sustainable and cohesive communities and our Junior Wardens are demonstrating how early the good citizen bug can spread throughout communities”.
