Government to 'help halt court actions' on home repossessions
A former Suffolk police officer has been handed a 12-month community supervision order after admitting fraudulently claiming housing and council tax benefits.
Nicola Coe, 39, was overpaid £8,800 by Ipswich Borough Council after failing to provide sufficient details while still serving as a police officer.
Coe, of Holbrook Road, Ipswich, was suspended by police chiefs after the council launched an investigation in 2011. She later resigned from the force.
The council said the crook was paying back the stolen money at a rate of £15.20 a week.
