MONTE Claws makes a surprise visit

CHRISTMAS came early for the Hollin Street residents as “MONTE Claws” dropped in at the Twin Valley Homes homeless centre in Blackburn.

 The Together Housing Group mascot, which stands for Making Our Neighbourhoods Totally Excellent, made a special visit to deliver presents with Santa Claus donated by staff at Blackburn with Darwen’s biggest social landlord.

 The residents played games and ate and drank party food to get the celebrations started early.

Michael Mahon, Hollin Street Manager, said: “We always make a big deal at Christmas and this year was no different.

 “We’d like to thank all the staff who contributed gifts and also Santa and MONTE Claws for dropping by. We’ve been able to make a lot of people very happy.”
