LHT scheme manager in New Year's Honours List

A Scheme Manager for a north west housing association has been recognised in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List.
Eileen Alldritt, a retired scheme manager for Liverpool Housing Trust (LHT) received a BEM (British Empire Medal) for services to tenant empowerment and the community in Liverpool.
Eileen, from Walton has been proactive in encouraging people living in sheltered accommodation to get involved in the wider community.
Eileen, who retired from LHT last year, said she showed tenants “there was much more to life than a nice flat, furry slippers, bingo and coffee mornings.
She added: “The award is like the ‘icing on the cake’ at the end of my 50 years working life and I have many happy memories to treasure.”
Cllr Gerard Woodhouse, who nominated Eileen for the BEM said: “I am so proud of Eileen, she thoroughly deserves this recognition; it truly reflects her dedication and hard work to provide exceptionable services, not only to tenants but to the wider community.”
Sue Westwater, LHT managing director said: “This is a real testament to Eileen's absolute commitment and passion for her work.
“Eileen valued all the support and dedication from all her colleagues across LHT and in the community, so this makes Eileen's award even more special.”
