Sentinel Housing Association has brought in a new chief executive.

Mark Perry was previously the group commercial director of Affinity Sutton and has held a number of positions on various boards in both an independent and executive capacity.

He will oversee a range of new Sentinel developments throughout 2013, including the start of the development of 784 new homes at Merton Rise, in partnership with Charles Church and Persimmon Homes.

Mark, who became CEO on the 1 December last year, replaces Martin Nurse who will be retiring in March. Martin has been CEO at Sentinel for the last 11 years.

Mark Perry said: "I’m really excited about joining the team at Sentinel and working with them to deliver good new homes in and around north Hampshire. Making a real difference to the communities where we work, by being a great landlord, is paramount to the organisation and I’m looking forward to contributing to the achievement this goal. Martin Nurse has achieved a great deal during his time as Sentinel’s Chief Executive and I hope to build on his many accomplishments and lead the organisation forward to even greater success in the future."
